Three employees from G4S in South Africa showcased two of the company's core values

Being caring and putting safety first, employees from G4S in South Africa showcased the company’s core values

Close Protection Officers Albert Michau, CJ Coetzee and Johan Hay were all posted to an embassy in Pretoria when they heard what sounded like a multiple-vehicle crash a few streets away.

While Albert stayed to cover the team’s embassy duties, CJ and Johan went to investigate in a duty vehicle.

They found that two cars had crashed and one was on fire with its driver trapped behind the wheel. CJ raced to join the rescue effort, while Johan grabbed the fire extinguisher from the duty vehicle and set to work putting out the flames.

With the fire out, CJ and the other people on scene freed the driver from the vehicle and managed to get the passengers and drivers out of the other car.

Collectively, the men have worked for G4S for 15 years and all three received a Certificate of Recognition for their actions.
