Our role

G4S plays an important role in society. We make a difference by helping people to operate in a safe and secure environment where they can thrive and prosper. 

As one of the world's largest global employers, we have a responsibility to ensure that our employees are cared for and are given every opportunity to develop and flourish as a result of being part of G4S. 

We manage our businesses in a way that protects communities, the environment, our people, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders and creates sustainable long-term partnerships, built on trust and respect.
 

Safeguarding our Integrity

Ensure that our operations are in compliance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights to which G4S is a signatory
Implementation of processes aimed at monitoring compliance with the G4S Group’s anti-bribery policies and controls
Regular review of risk assessment processes for all aspects of our security operations.

Securing our People

In 2013, the Company successfully achieved the certification of its Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System against the requirements of the Safe to Work (STOW) program for high-risk operations.   The STOW program is an initiative of the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago, in collaboration with the major oil and gas operators in Trinidad. This accomplishment is consistent with our belief that a focused and active HSE program is crucial to the attainment of a safe workplace.  We believe that by adopting a coherent and consistent approach to the identification and elimination of unsafe conditions, we will achieve the goal of a safer and more productive environment for our employees.

 
Leadership is not about a title or a designation. It's about impact, influence and inspiration. Impact involves getting results, influence is about spreading the passion you have for your work, and you have to inspire team-mates and customers. 
 

Securing our Communities

G4S has well developed relationships with several orphanages in Trinidad and Tobago and we provide much needed support to these institutions, as part of our general outreach program.

We encourage our employees to participate in community projects through volunteer initiative and fund-raising activities.
