We at G4S India have taken Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to our heart and identified it as one of our core values. As a reflection of our commitment, our annual fundraiser ‘Coffee Morning’ for Grant Govan Memorial Homes was held on 6th March, 2012. In its 15th year, the event was celebrated at the residence of the British High Commissioner (BHC). The wife of the British High Commissioner Ms. Janet Purdie has been instrumental in extending her support to the Homes. The lawns of BHC Residence were busy with numerous stalls selling books, cakes, confectionaries, jewellery, belts, household items, etc. Dignitaries and officials from diplomatic missions and embassies along with the inmates of the Grant Govan Homes and G4S staff were present on the occasion.

"G4S India the largest private security group in the country has been at the forefront on Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives aimed at enriching the society in which it operates Supporting Grant Govan homes is one such way to invest back into the community from where we earn," said Mr. Neil Prasad, Regional Managing Director of G4S- South Asia.

"We thank the British High Commission for their gratitude to host this morning at their beautiful premises and hope to continue the tradition for years ahead," Mr. Prasad added.

The Grant Govan Memorial Homes (GGMH) was originally started by friends of R.E Grant Govan in 1940 following his death as a memorial to his charitable life. The Homes today is living quarters for Anglo-Indians and others who are unable to support themselves during their old age. For its inmates, apart from self sufficient residential quarters, it offers a peaceful & caring environment to spend last few years of their lives.
