G4S Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to environmental preservation by participating in the World Cleanup Day (WCD) in Batam. The event featured two main activities: a community cleanup and tree planting.

The day started with a cleanup around the Kelurahan Muka Kuning area, where 18 employees from various sites in Batam joined forces with volunteers from local communities and businesses. This collaboration between G4S Indonesia and the local community highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

Following the cleanup, participants proceeded to the Taman Wisata Air Muka Kuning to plant 150 trees. The tree planting initiative was aimed at supporting reforestation efforts and contributing to climate action by absorbing carbon dioxide and creating new green spaces.

Winda Sari, the Leader of WCD Batam, expressed her gratitude to G4S Indonesia for their involvement.

Thank you to G4S Indonesia for participating in World Cleanup Day 2024, bringing many team members, and helping make this event a success. We hope that G4S and WCD can continue to collaborate and strengthen our partnership in the future.

Amid our busy work schedules, it was refreshing to break a sweat in a healthy and relaxing way. We fully support this initiative and hope to see more environmentally focused events in the future.”

This initiative is part of G4S Indonesia’s commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Through these activities, G4S Indonesia is making a positive impact on environmental sustainability and the well-being of local communities.
