Badge security, your priority

The copying or loss of an access badge can lead to a whole series of security risks.
Key management

The purpose of an access badge is to identify a person and authorise or deny access to a secure area. Each user is responsible for his or her own badge. Badges should be worn visibly when inside the company premises, and should be stored securely when leaving the premises.

The physical or digital copying or the loss of an access badge can lead to a whole series of security risks, in particular access by unauthorised persons who aim to damage the company in some way, breach the confidentiality of certain information on the badge that has been misused, or cause security incidents such as data leaks or cyber-attacks.

Our security tips

To reduce the risks associated with copying or losing an access badge, it is important to take the following steps:

  • Keep an eye on your badge and never leave it unattended.
  • Keep your badge safe: when you’re not using your badge, keep it in a safe place, such as a bag or case.
  • Report the loss of your badge immediately: if you lose your badge, inform your security officer straight away.

Raise awareness among your staff so they adopt safe behaviour
and contribute to the security of your company!

These days, physical security measures are no longer enough to effectively protect your business. Criminals, including cybercriminals are becoming increasingly creative and will not hesitate to trick your employees! So good habits can have a real impact on your company’s security. That’s what our Security Awareness campaign is all about, focusing on ten different themes.
