G4S is part of a consortium that designed, built and services the Dublin Criminal Courts of Justice. The G4S challenge was to deliver the largest PPP (Public Private Partnership) investment project for the Irish Government. The requirement was for a landmark civic building that acts as a gateway from Phoenix Park to the centre of Dublin. We now deliver high quality facilities management (G4S FM) services and maintain this high profile public building.

The criminal courts complex houses 22 court rooms, including 16 which can hold a jury, and consolidates all criminal courts facilities in Dublin.

G4S took an active part in the design process and the FM operational concept was influenced by our award winning PFI projects for the new accommodation project in Cheltenham and Manchester Magistrates Courts. G4S provides integrated FM services, including:

• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Reception, telephony and helpdesk services

G4S’ expertise in the interface between building design and optimum FM operation has resulted in a building that offers significant benefits to the customer and building users.

The internal circulation routes, stairs, lifts and corridors have been designed to keep separated the various parties prior to their arrival in the court room. This includes:
