Installing Refuge Areas To Protect Staff

A refuge area can be a lifesaver in an emergency. It is an area designed to hold occupants during a fire or other emergency, in situations when evacuation may not be safe or possible.

All refuges are required to have walls and floors that are fire-resistant, so that occupants can wait safely until rescued or relieved by firefighters.

G4S has many years of experience designing and installing refuge areas in buildings, to the required regulations. We ensure that staff are fully protected and in constant communication with the emergency services.
