Created in 1991, the biennial Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards are today seen as a hallmark for quality and excellence, and a benchmark for contract cleaning companies and in-house cleaning teams.

The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony in October at the London Hilton on Park Lane, hosted by celebrities Jon Culshaw and Alan Dedicoat. Over 500 professionals from contract cleaning firms and in-house teams, as well as local authorities and hospitals attended the awards, with 88 finalists from 45 companies.

“Congratulations to this very worthy and deserving winner in what has been the most successful and prestigious Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards to date,” says Dr Louise Vickerman, UK Marketing Manager, Kimberly-Clark Professional. “We had more companies than ever entering and more sponsors than previous years and thank G4S FM for their excellent and detailed entry which highlights exactly the innovation and dedication these awards recognise.”

The award winning entry showcased how G4S FM has transformed cleaning at General Dynamics UK sites, based on a cloud-based app which monitors cleaning standards.  The whole team at GDUK's main site near Newport in Wales supported the development of a highly effective visual management tool to support a wide range of day-to-day FM operational and staff management tasks, and the client also has access for reporting purposes.

“I am delighted that we and our client General Dynamics UK have been recognised by this prestigious award,” said Lorraine Davis, G4S FM Head of Cleaning.  “The team really have shown great innovation - well done to all our hard working staff.”
