Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust

G4S Integrated Services has won a £3.9 million contract to provide domestic cleaning, portering and catering support to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.

The three year agreement, with the option to extend for a further year, will see G4S initially delivering services to 34 sites across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, with further locations likely to be added in the future. Cleaning will be provided across the contract, with additional portering services and catering support at some specific sites.

The contract starts on 1st April 2014, with approximately 170 staff expected to transfer to G4S Integrated Services under TUPE employment regulations.

G4S Integrated Services has a strong portfolio of contracts within the healthcare business in the UK, delivering facilities management services direct to its customers. The company currently has contracts with 24 acute hospitals with over 7,000 patient beds and employs more than 2,000 cleaning staff.  Two further healthcare cleaning contracts with NHS Trusts in England will also commence in April.
