The partnership was launched with an on pitch presentation between G4S Managing Director, Mark Hamilton and the Burnley Football Club Chairman, Barry Kilby.

The Junior Clarets, which comprises over 2000 members, is Burnley’s junior supporters club and offers a range of benefits to young fans. The supporters clubs’ aim is to connect strongly with all young Burnley Football Club supporters through membership that makes young supporters feel engaged, valued and part of the club, developing future generations of Clarets supporters.

A large variety of activities are made available on match days in the ‘Family Village’, including circus skills, cheerleading, and football skill based competitions. The supporters club also works in partnership with BFC’s Community Sports Trust, which sees highly qualified and experienced full-time coaching staff providing multi sport sessions to over 250 schools in the North West. Members also benefit from mascot opportunities, updates and communications from the club, access to special events, unique memorabilia, away match packages and discounted Burnley merchandise.

Mark Hardman, Junior Clarets Co-ordinator, comments:
“I am delighted to announce this partnership between the Junior Clarets and G4S Events.  G4S is an organisation whose main priority is the safety and security of their customers, and they are constantly driving towards a safer society.

G4S Events are an internationally recognised brand and securing a partnership with such a prestigious company is greatly beneficial to the Junior Clarets and Burnley Football Club.  Our members meet G4S’s employees at every home game and I envisage a strong working partnership between both organisations. ”

Mark Hamilton comments:
“As Burnley’s stewarding and security partner at Turf Moor, we fully support the objectives of the Junior Clarets. It is an organisation that encourages young people to engage with the club and with sport at an early age.  At G4S we feel that sport is a great way of giving children confidence, improving their well-being and developing their sense of social responsibility, so we look for opportunities to support organisations like this wherever we can.

Many members of the Junior Clarets are regular visitors to the ground and meet G4S stewarding and security staff every time they visit the stadium. G4S’s involvement in the Junior Clarets will help us to educate future generations on safety at football matches and perhaps even inspire them to apply for a job as a steward one day.”

G4S’s management team have been providing security and stewarding services to Burnley FC for over fifteen years.
