The event, expected to attract 80 guests and around 20 internal employees and assessors, will be held at Nailcote Hall near Birmingham on 7 October, and will comprise key note speakers, including Matt Tee, Permanent Secretary for Government Communication, Simon Murphy, Managing Director for G4S Assessment Services, and an awards presentation to the organisation which has demonstrated the highest levels of commitment required to achieve this standard.

The Government’s Customer Service Excellence Standard makes a tangible difference to all service users by encouraging organisations to focus on their individual needs and preferences. In order for an organisation to be recognised as achieving Customer Service Excellence they must be successfully assessed against five stringent criteria including: customer insight; organisation culture; information and access; delivery; timeliness and quality of service.

Those attending the event will have been through the rigorous assessment process and proved themselves as Customer Service Excellence providers, as well as receiving a certificate to affirm their accreditation from the Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Simon Murphy, Managing Director for G4S Assessment Services, commented: “This event helps recognises all those organisations who have worked hard to achieve this standard of excellence within the customer service field celebrating their success in achieving this standard, a level of service excellence that previously might have gone unnoticed.”
