How to become a Security Officer

At G4S ANZ, you're not just joining a team; you're becoming part of the world's leading security solutions provider.

In Australia, all security officers are required to hold a valid security license specific to the state or territory in which they work. We understand that obtaining the necessary license can be a bit overwhelming, so we're here to help! We can provide detailed information about the licensing process for each state and territory.

In all jurisdictions you will be required to complete a Certificate II or Certificate III in Security Operations, and apply for a security license with the relevant state police force. Processing times can vary.

"After a month of obtaining my security licence I completed G4S training and was offered the role of Court Security Officer with G4S.

Under the mentorship of then Hub Coordinator Ben, I quickly learned the ropes and was promoted to team leader within two years. During my time as a team leader, I had the opportunity to further develop my skills by assisting Hub Coordinator Cassidy.

My hard work and dedication paid off when, just three months later, I was appointed as the Hub Coordinator for our Metropolitan area within Court Services Victoria (CSV)."
